Carjacking suspect leads police on chase

HOUSTON It started when two police units spotted a man standing over another man around 12:30am. When the officers approached the man, he jumped into a Ford Explorer and backed up for several blocks before taking the car out of reverse.

Officers believe he had just robbed the man on the ground. The suspect led police on a five-minute chase before crashing into a ditch near Oriole and Allston.

The suspect tried to run, but was quickly caught.
