Fire destroys Katy area warehouse

HOUSTON The fire broke out around 1:40pm at a building on Katy/Fort Bend near E. Third. Firefighters initially had some problems with low water pressure, and HFD was called to assist at about 4pm. Heavy machinery was brought in to help firefighters gain access through the metal walls.

The smoke is visible from the Katy Freeway, but no traffic lanes have been affected.

There's no word on what caused the fire, and no injuries have been reported.
