TXU Energy won't cut off power this summer

HOUSTON Yesterday, the utility declared a "moratorium on disconnects." They urge anyone who is having trouble paying their bills to call now and let them know about it.

In years past, the no-disconnect program began on July 1, but because of the extreme heat, TXU decided to start the program early.
