A small plane has crash landed in the front yard of a home in Chambers County. The pilot, Michael Herman Rountree, was the only person on board the plane when it went down in the front yard of a home about three miles south of Mt. Belvieu. Rountree, 64, was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he is listed in good condition with back injuries.

The aircraft is a Baken 9 Duce 001. This was Rountree's first flight. According to witnesses, they heard the engine flutter and it appeared that the plane was losing power before it went down.
