Bystander shot by officer files lawsuit

HOUSTON The officer shot Guadalupe Acosta in the arm as he chased a suspect on the Rice University jogging trial. Acosta's lawsuit asks for Metro to pay damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.

Metro said it has empathy for what Acosta experienced but cannot comment further on the litigation.
