CMA Festival wraps up in Nashville

June 15, 2009 5:46:19 AM PDT
For many fans, it was a chance to see their personal heroes and heroines up close. For others, it was a chance to hear their music in person. But for everyone who attended the CMA Festival, it was a chance to celebrate country music with some of the biggest stars and their fans.

The four-day event wrapped up yesterday, with Taylor Swift, the Judds, Trace Adkins, Reba McEntire, John Rich and Kenny Chesney among the acts that performed during the weekend.

The Tennessean reports Chesney ended the festival with a set that began well after the scheduled end of the event at midnight. But the newspaper says the fans at LP Field stayed around to see the show.
