HISD's Saavedra may retire sooner

HOUSTON The Bellaire Examiner is reporting that Dr. /*Saavedra*/ told administrators Friday of his plans to leave the position on August 31. He had previously said that he would stay on the job until March of next year.

According to the Bellaire Examiner, no one has been chosen yet as an interim replacement.
