A 15-year-old girl who tested positive for HIV told police she was forced to work the streets by two adults who have been charged with compelling prostitution and sex trafficking. The Bexar County sheriff's office said Wednesday the teenager was found by a school district police officer while running from a 79-year-old man who paid the girl for sex.

The girl allegedly told authorities she had been working as a prostitute since she was 11.

Elizabeth Ramos Delgado and John Maldonado, who are accused of forcing the girl into prostitution, were being held at Bexar County jail. It was not immediately known whether they had attorneys.
