A teacher is out of the classroom after he was accused of showing up at school drunk and trying to kiss a student. It was all caught on cell phone video.Cesar Flores, 34, taught Spanish to 10th and 11th grade students at Manvel High School. School administrators say his behavior Monday morning inside the classroom was inappropriate and unprofessional. According to the police report, Flores failed a field sobriety test and made statements that he'd been drinking the night before.

In his report, the arresting officer, Officer G. Maddux with the Alvin ISD Police Department, said Flores appeared to be intoxicated and wrote, "At this time I was informed that Flores had kissed one of his students on her back after trying to kiss her in the face. The student leaned forward on her desk to keep him from kissing her in the face."

Students are appalled.

"It's just unacceptable with the increase in sexual crimes in schools," said student Lucke Orlando. "It's horrible."

A student captured the alleged incident on a cell phone. The images and the phone have since been turned over to investigators. The principal sent home roughly 150 letters addressed to the parents of Flores' students to inform them of the district's intentions.

Principal Darrell Alexander explained, "Mr. Flores will not be back teaching at Manvel High School the rest of this year, nor will he be employed at Manvel High School for next year either."

Flores was arrested, charged with public intoxication and assault by contact and has already pled guilty. Parents say Flores' behavior sets a poor example

"You've got high school students who are prone to drugs and alcohol and things of that nature and they look to the teachers as role models," said parent Bridgete Mayon.

School administrators say the female student who Flores tried to kiss is doing as well as can be expected. They say they contacted her parents immediately and met with them.
