Disabled vet gets wild ride on Lake Houston

HOUSTON Texas Adaptive Aquatics helps the disabled enjoy water sports they probably thought they'd never experience again. On Friday, volunteers worked with Steven Schulz, a Marine who was wounded in Iraq four years ago. They rolled his wheelchair into Lake Houston, strapped him into an inflatable chair and took him for a ride on the water.

"A little independence, just helping me to get out there a little more to do things on my own," said Schulz. "Speed. I love speed, going fast."

Schulz doesn't restrict himself to the water. He's even gone snow skiing in Colorado twice.
