Charges filed in NE Houston fatal stabbing

HOUSTON Roy Lee Powell is accused of fatally stabbing Burt Lee Hopkins at a bus stop on Cavalcade. Officers say Powell stole a window frame from a home. Hopkins and the homeowner went looking for Powell.

Officers say that when they found him, Powell and the homeowner got into a fight, and Hopkins tried to stop that fight. That's when Powell allegedly stabbed Hopkins.
