Job fair being held today

HOUSTON [FIND A JOB: See listings for jobs around the Houston area]

The seventh annual North Channel job fair gets started at 1pm and runs until 6pm at the Northshore Community Fellowship of Faith campus on 444 Maxey Road.

Companies with full and part-time positions available will attend. Additionally, there will be summer job opportunities for students ages 14 and up.

Some of the employers confirmed include the Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff's office, La Quinta Inn Hotel, Harris County Education Department, Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services, City of Houston and the Houston Urban League.

The job fair is free and open to all businesses, job-seekers and those who may be searching for new opportunities.
