Jailers arrested after two inmates escape

LONGVIEW, TX Sheriff's investigators say 20-year-old Gracie Carrillo and 25-year-old Yvonne Oliver were arrested Friday and charged with facilitating the escape of two inmates who broke out of jail Tuesday.

Bond for the two Longview women was set at $175,000.

Desmond Dewayne Jackson, 27, of Hallsville and Bruce Danjuane Kelly, 22, of Longview both escaped from the jail on Tuesday. Jackson was caught early Wednesday after sheriff's deputies stopped a van he was driving near the community of Elderville.

Kelly was caught as he stood beneath a carport Tuesday night, hours after the escape was discovered.

Sheriff Maxey Cerliano said previously that a jail trusty and a relative of Kelly were involved the escape. The department has started new operational procedures because of the escape.

Jackson was serving a life sentence after being convicted this month for killing a man during a 2007 Longview pawn shop robbery. Kelly is charged in a 2008 robbery and slaying.
