May 23, 2009 6:38:15 AM PDT
The mystery of a woman who was apparently the victim of an assault who had lost her memory has been solved. After receiving more than 200 tip calls, Houston police have identified the female victim, but at this time are not releasing her identity.

She was found in the 6600 block on San Felipe about 1:45am back on May 3. She was treated and released from an area hospital for head injuries, but had no recollection of who she was or where she lived. And police say there were no missing persons reports for anyone matching her description.

Friday morning, investigators received a call from family members, verifying the woman's identity. Though they're not releasing her name, police say she's 34 years old and was moving from New Mexico to Houston, where she was to start a new job.
