Katy firefighter wins sweet bike

WASHINGTON, D.C. Brian Vickers entered the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) Full Throttle Support Sweepstakes. His donation was among more than 12,000 entries nationwide, which raised $135,000 for the NFFF.

Vickers, a 16-year veteran who is currently with the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, was flown to Washington, D.C. where he was presented with a custom Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Firefighter Special Edition motorcycle and congratulated by Congressman Michael McCaul of Texas.

Of the honor and prize, Vickers said, "I still can't believe that I've won. It's an amazing machine and I can't wait to take it on a ride. It's really great that this sweepstakes helps such a worthy cause which is why I entered in the first place. The work of the NFFF is so important."
