Need sleep? Don't try horse sedatives

BATESVILLE, AR Authorities in Arkansas say a man tried to use a horse sedative to get some shuteye. Sheriff's deputies say William C. Wilson was taken from a motel room to a hospital Tuesday evening taking horse tranquilizers as many as five times to try to get some rest.

In the room, deputies found syringes and three bottles of equine sedatives. A veterinarian tells the Batesville Daily Guard the drugs the man took are dangerous and tightly controlled -- and that Wilson "is lucky to be alive."
