Apartment fire destroys six units

HOUSTON It broke out around 8:45pm last night in the 7900 block of Cook Road near Beechnut. When firefighters arrived at the Timber Hollow apartments, flames were shooting out of several units. Close to 100 firefighters responded to the fire. They had to pull back from the building because part of it fell.

Some of the residents were not home and got devastating calls from neighbors.

"When I get the call, I run from the apartment and come here and see just everything on fire, upstairs and downstairs," said fire victim Brittany Glids.

No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
