It happened around 2:30am at a home on Madison Oak near Valiant. Police say three men kicked in the front door of the home, demanding money.

The homeowner was awakened by the sound of the door being kicked in. He grabbed his handgun and confronted the three men. The homeowner chased the three suspects out of the house and one shot was fired inside.

A little later, three men then showed up at a Cy-Fair area hospital. One of them was shot in the eye and was transported by helicopter to the Texas Medical Center. Authorities believe that those three men may be connected to that overnight home invasion.

The homeowner was taken to hospital to identify the suspects where he made a positive identification.

Three people were inside the home at the time of the home invasion. None of them were hurt.

Police are also trying to figure out if the three men are connected to another home invasion that happened around 10pm about 15 miles from this location.
