It happened around midnight at the store on Bissonnet and Chimney Rock in Bellaire.

Police say three suspects went into the CVS Pharmacy store and ordered everyone to the ground, including several customers. The clerks were preparing to shut the store down at the time of the robbery.

One of the customers managed to call 911 with his cell phone. By the time the suspects were getting ready to leave, the store was surrounded by police. One of the suspects fired a gun.

"It appears at this time, one of the suspects took his own life," said Lt. Michael Leal with the Bellaire Police Department. "At that time, the remaining suspect came out through the door with his hands up."

Police found a third suspect trying to hide behind the getaway car.

No one else was injured inside the store.
