'Smoothing' work closes FM 518 in Pearland

PEARLAND, TX The work will allow for the repair and replacement of the BNSF railroad crossing.

Local traffic traveling on Broadway between Washington Ave. and Main will be able to access businesses; however, no traffic will be allowed to cross the railroad tracks during this time.

Traffic driving west on FM 518 will be detoured at SH 35, north to Orange St., or south to Walnut St., then west to Washington Ave, and back to FM 518.

Traffic driving east on FM 518 will be detoured at Washington Ave., north to Orange St., or south to Walnut St., then east to SH 35 (Main St.).
