Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services advised that they close the school Friday.

Parents are not to bring kids to school nor are staff to come in. Parents received automated calls Thursday evening.

Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services has also recommended that Yeager Elementary cancel all school-related gatherings and advise parents, students, and staff to avoid congregating outside of the school until the school is re-opened.

If your child becomes ill while Yeager Elementary is closed, please call your healthcare provider and Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services.

Officials said the school will re-open Monday.
