It all started when a customer was coming out of the store on Highway 290 and West Tidwell around 1am and noticed someone was trying to break into his pickup truck. An officer happened to be driving through the parking lot around the same time. The customer ran up to the officer and notified of him of what was going on.
The two men who were allegedly trying to break into the truck noticed the officer, hopped into a minivan and took off. The officer started chasing them.
The chase ended nearly 10 miles away at Highway 290 and Mueschke when a tire on minivan blew out.
It turns out the minivan the two men were in was stolen. The suspects were arrested and are facing a number of charges.
