Angela Lara, who had been charged with capital murder in the brutal robbery and stabbing death of a Fulshear woman more than a year ago, has pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery.[SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

Authorities say Lara was the getaway driver in the murder of retired teacher Martha Fields back in December 2007. Prosecutors say two other men, Kevin Cypher and Marwa Saeed, acted as delivery men to force their way into Fields' home, where they tied her up, robbed the home and stabbed her multiple times. She later died at a hospital.

Lara's sentencing is scheduled for June. Cypher is in custody. Saeed is still on the run.
