Three kids reportedly held hostage in south Houston

Police were called after a man with a gun was holding three children hostage at a home on Rosehaven near Reed Road. At one point, he threw out a gun from the home. Police eventually coaxed the man outside, where they approached him and tackled him to the ground.

The children were safely taken away.
