We have just received this mug shot of Bellaire Police Sergeant Jeff Cotton. He was indicted Monday for aggravated assault by a public servant. He's accused of shooting /*Robbie Tolan*/ during a confrontation at Tolan's home on New Year's Eve after police mistakenly believed Tolan was in a stolen vehicle. He was not.

Cotton has since turned himself in and posted a $20,000 bond. Cotton is currently on administrative leave and due back in court on April 17.
