The Newseum in Washington, DC, added Dave Garrett's name, and the names of 76 others, to its journalists memorial. Dave and the other journalists all died covering the news.

Dave and pilot John Downhower died when SkyEye crashed in Montgomery County in October. Dave's family attended the ceremony.

"This is a great tribute to all of them," said Dave's father Alton Garrett.

"This will be something that his son can come see and share with his family when he's older," added Dave's sister Jean Young. "Something that we can come back and see."

The journalists memorial features Dave's name and photo on one wall, as well as his name etched in frosted glass.
