Amber Alert issued for two missing kids

An Amber Alert has been issued after a two-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister were allegedly abducted by their father. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The alleged abduction actually happened in Nacogdoches Tuesday at noon. Police say Luis Gallegos abducted his children at knifepoint Police expect Gallegos to pass through Houston as he travels south, and that's why local authorities want people in our area to keep an eye out.

The daughter, Laiza, stands three feet tall and weighs around 30 pounds. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white, long sleeve, Applebottom shirt with pink Capri pants. The son, Luis, was last seen wearing a blue shirt with white stripes and blue pants.

They were last seen heading south on Highway 59 in Nacogdoches in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Luis Antonio Gallegos, 22, the suspect, is a Hispanic male, standing around 5'7", and weighs approximately 168 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sleeveless shirt and blue jeans.
