Grand jury hearing Robbie Tolan case

On New Year's Eve, Bellaire police shot /*Tolan*/ outside his home after mistakenly thinking he was in a stolen SUV. Tolan's family called the shooting racially motivated.

The grand jury could spend up to three weeks listening to testimony. Tolan, who played minor league baseball, spent a few weeks in the hospital and still has a bullet lodged near his liver.
