It happened around 8:45pm at the Last Americas apartments on Glenmont and Rampart in southwest Houston.

Witnesses told authorities they saw a vehicle driving around at the complex with a man and a woman inside. At some point, they got into a fight. The man then reportedly pulled the woman out and began assaulting her.

"They looked over and saw a man was pulling a female pulling out of his own vehicle and appeared to be assaulting her in the parking lot," said Sgt. Robert Torres with the Houston Police Department. "He threw her down in the ground, got into his vehicle and then backed over her and then took off and ran over her again a second time."

Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. They tried to save the woman, but unfortunately she didn't survive her injuries. The victim's identity has not been released.

Homicide investigators are looking for a Hispanic male in his 40s driving a green Isuzu Rodeo. They say they don't know what the relationship is between the man and the woman.

If you have any information on the case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
