Police still looking for shoeseller's killer

On April 24, 2006, Ebere Thomas Lazarus was selling shoes from his white Chevy van at the corner of Fondren and South Gessner.

Police said a man chased Lazarus down on foot and shot him to death. The shooter and another man then stole Lazarus' van.

"We miss our son so much. Very innocent boy. Unfortunately bad people planned and took his life," said the victim's father, Samuel Lazarus.
