Armed robber threatens clerk with knife

BELLAIRE, TX On Tuesday, February 10, 2009 around 5:30 in the evening a man walked into the Family Dollar stored located at 5861 Bissonnet in Bellaire, Texas. He walked around the store for a few minutes before he approached a cashier. He stuck a knife in the cashier's back and demanded she open the register and give him money.

When the clerk did not comply immediately, he became more aggressive and again demanded money. She opened the register and he took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store. He got on a red and black bicycle and went west bound down the sidewalk before going southbound on Renwick.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who only spoke Spanish with a possible Salvadorian or Honduran accent. He is around 18 to 19 years old with black wavy hair. He has a skinny build and is approximately 5'6" tall and weighs between 150 to 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black t-shirt with black pants.
