Iron Maiden downplaying riot reports

Manager Rod Smallwood has posted a statement on the band's Web site calling the news "wildly exaggerated." Local reports had said more than 100 people were arrested and a police officer injured after fans tried to crash the gate at an Iron Maiden concert on Saturday in Bogota.

Smallwood says it was just a lot of kids trying to break into the park, and all concerts in Bogota have a large military presence.

He says the band has played there before with no problem, and they intend to play there again, in spite of "the inane behavior of a small minority of people outside."
