HPD officer shot in the face

We're told three narcotics officers were serving a warrant at a home on Avenue O near Central shortly after 9pm. Gunfire rang out from inside the home and one of the officers was shot in the face.

An officer fired back, fatally shooting someone in the home.

The wounded officer was transported by ground to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was taken into surgery. His condition is not known.
