Tasers coming to Sugar Land PD

SUGAR LAND, TX [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The Sugar Land City Council approved money for the department to buy some 90 Tasers at a cost of around $80,000.

Several law enforcement agencies around the area, including Houston Police and Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies, carry Tasers as an option to lethal force.
