Deputy accidentally shoots herself

The deputy was sitting in her personal vehicle during the lunch hour at the Firearms Training Academy in Atascocita when the gun went off. She was shot in the leg and taken to Hermann Hospital by Life Flight. She's expected to recover.

The deputy was training for a marksmanship class. She was hired by the sheriff's office in 1992.
