Elderly man dies trying to cross highway

Witnesses say the man, who was in his early 80s, was trying to cross Highway 249 near Veterans Memorial this morning, when he was hit. Sheriff's deputies say a second vehicle also hit the man.

Investigators believe the first vehicle has front end damage, and possible damage to the hood and windshield.
