Benson pays a visit to the Texans

HOUSTON They signed Defensive End Antonio Smith and backup QB Dan Orlovsky on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. And on Monday, free agent Running Back Cedric Benson was in town talking with the Texans. Benson played for the Bengals last season after getting released from the Bears. The former Longhorn actually played pretty good for Cincinnati, running for 747 yards in ten starts.

Benson says he wouldn't mind being a back-up to Steve Slaton because Houston's close to his home in Austin, if the price is right.
