Partial ceiling collapse at Luby's in Austin

AUSTIN, TX Austin-Travis County EMS spokesman Warren Hassinger says the accident happened during lunchtime Saturday when 37 people were in the building.

Hassinger says one patron and one worker were transported to hospitals. One person had a shoulder injury, while the other complained of neck pain.

Hassinger says a section of suspended ceiling fell, along with part of an upper ceiling and some light fixtures, in an area where food was being served. The ceiling and light fixtures did not directly fall on anyone.

The Luby's restaurant was closed for the rest of the day Saturday.

Luby's is based in Houston.
