Angelique Tinder is from Spring. Digging into her past, we found she has nine aliases. She's been sentenced to five years in federal prison for filing more than 2,000 fake tax returns equaling more than $2.5 million in refunds.

Tinder was sentenced in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, because the government said she did business in a hotel room north of there.

Most of her clients were Bosnian immigrants. Prosecutors said she falsely claimed medical deductions, charitable contributions, education credits, and unreimbursed employee expenses.

Tinder was found guilty last August. Due to this case, the Justice Department warned that people who hire a tax preparer should review their returns carefully to make sure they are truthful.
