Tiger Woods returns in match play

MARANA, AZ Wearing his trademark white "TW" golf cap and swinging easily, the worlds' No. 1 player teed off Wednesday at the Accenture Match Play Championship. His first drive found the fairway.

It's the first time Woods has played in a tournament since winning the U.S. Open in June 2008 on a bad left leg. He had reconstructive knee surgery a week after the open, making this the longest break from golf in his career.

Woods was paired with Brendan Jones of Australia in the first round in front of an adoring crowd at Dove Mountain.

Woods has won Match Play Championship three times.
