Henry is being taken to a 200-acre sanctuary near Shreveport, Louisiana. The 23-year-old primate was rescued from a home in Crosby last year. Authorities say Henry was kept in deplorable conditions and had been living on a diet of soda and cigarettes.

The SPCA nursed him back to health and now Henry will live out his life with other chimps at that sanctuary in Shreveport.
