Car flies off freeway, injures 10

Police say the driver of a pickup truck hit a vehicle on the North Loop at Durham. The truck then went off a grassy embankment and hit several other cars at a stop light below. Ten people, including children, went to hospitals. Two of the victims suffered serious injuries.

An eyewitness saw it all happen.

"It flew off the freeway, it came down the grass over there and down the freeway and hit two cars," said witness Maria Mendoza.

It's still unclear what caused that first driver to lose control. Police are still investigating the chain-reaction wreck.
