Teen arrested on arson charge in school fire

PORT ARTHUR, TX A 14-year-old boy was arrested Friday on a charge of arson in the fire at Booker T. Washington Elementary School, located on the Memorial Ninth Grade Center campus.

The fire marshal's office says that no more arrests are expected in the fire.

A 15-year-old was arrested earlier this week in connection to the fire.

The names of the suspects cannot be released since they are juveniles.

Ninth-grade students continue to attend classes in an undamaged wing of the building, but the elementary school students have been sent to several other campuses.
