School bus driver discovers body

A school bus driver made a gruesome discovery while transporting kids at Rushcreek and Spears in north Houston. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

Police say the driver spotted what appeared to be a body by the roadside. The driver stopped with the children on the bus, checked on the victim, then called 911.

The victim, between 18 and 21 years of age, suffered trauma to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing black jean pants, a black shirt and had no identification in his possession. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the victim's cause of death. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
