Driver thrown during railroad tracks wreck

At 11:15pm Friday, the man lost control of his SUV while making a turn on the railroad tracks at Hempstead Highway near Brittmoore. The SUV rolled onto its side.

The man was partially thrown from the vehicle and suffered head injuries. He was airlifted to the hospital where he is in critical condition. A woman who was in the SUV with him wasn't injured.
