Missing child found after night in pasture

LLANO, TX Searchers in a Department of Public Safety helicopter spotted Owen Castle lying facedown beneath a barbed wire fence in a field Wednesday morning. He was about a mile from a cabin where he and his mother had been staying.

Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn said in a story for Thursday's editions of the River Cities Daily Tribune that more than 150 people helped search for the boy after he was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

Chief Deputy John Neff said the boy was suffering from exposure when Llano Police Chief James Shilling wrapped his coat around the child. Temperatures were in the 30s Tuesday night.

The hospital said the family had requested that no information be released on his condition.

Blackburn said Owen wandered away while his mother was talking to her insurance agent on the phone.
