Fire breaks out at apartment building

It happened around 1:30am on Bellaire at Mary Bates. Flames could be seen on the roof of the building. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire before it spread.

It appears a malfunction with a heating unit sparked the flames. The upstairs units at the apartment complex were vacant. No one was injured.
