It happened around 9am when deputies went to investigate of criminal mischief inside some bathrooms at the mall. When deputies went to investigate, four men, described only as African-American, fled. One of them apparently dropped a weapon.
One man was taken into custody. Authorities are looking for the other three.
Houston Premium Outlets has since reopened to the public. A mall representative gave the following statement: "This is a police matter that is under investigation. They have given us the all clear and we are open for business."
There are no reports of any injuries.
