It happened around 8pm at the restaurant on Gessner at Tiger Trail, which is right across from Spring Woods High School.

According to witnesses, the teen had just ordered food. He was sitting at a table when a dark blue or green car with a tan convertible top drove by and someone fired one shot, hitting the teen.

Authorities don't know if the teen was the target, if it was a random shooting or if someone else was the target.

Police have not released any information about the teen, other than he was transported to Ben Taub Hospital. Authorities say he underwent surgery. He is listed in critical condition.

If you have any information about the case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600.
