Authorities say three children were approached in Porter in an attempted abuction. We spoke with the children and one of their mothers about the frightening situation.

The children were anxious to tell their stories because they want the men caught. All three children were unharmed, but definitely affected by what happened.

On Wednesday evening, ten-year-old Sarah Parcham and her friends pulled out of her driveway for a pedicab ride around the block. With their mothers waiting at the road, it was supposed to be a quick ride but not as quick as it turned out to be.

"They came back the same way and they were just scared to death," said Sarah's mother, Bitsy Crystal.

The children say just around the corner on Hecht Lane, two young men in a black pickup truck got a little too close. First the men yelled at them.

"They just kind of said, "Get in the truck now.' But they were mad though. They wanted something," said Branden Weaver, 11.

Then the passenger reached out to grab Parcham.

"I pedaled away as fast as I could," she said.

The children went straight home to tell their mothers and call police.

"We're very terrified. I mean, this a pretty safe neighborhood and we didn't expect anything like that to happen," said Crystal.

Now Crystal and the other parents won't let the kids out of their sight and the children are frightened.

"I don't want to go to sleep just in case they break in," said Weaver.

They hope the men are caught before anything happens to someone else.

"When I got home, I thought to myself that I'm lucky to be here right now," said Parcham.

The vehicle is described as an older black pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet, with rust damage. The children said the men are both white, around 19-20 years old. One man had bad acne, the other had a goatee.
